1. Eagle rays have big Brains and an advanced sensory system. Like their family members the Manta Rays (who are geniuses with the biggest brains of all animals) they have one of the biggest brains of all cold water animals.

2. They are safe to swim with, as are a very Shy species. Eagle Rays are terrified sadly of humans and don’t like you touching them so will avoid touching you and are difficult to approach and touch.

In the Cook islands it is the opposite. they swim in large schools of up to several hundred individuals. Its the most beautiful thing watching them all swim around in unity together.
